Arrival by train from Zurich

I (Jacob), totally in my element getting to ride a train for 3 hours.

There were so many opportunities for photos on this train ride, I’ll just share a few. But WOW, the swiss countryside is incredible.

Also, swiss trains have a reputation for being reliable, but we had an 8 minute layover in the middle two 1.5 hour train rides… Sure enough the train timing was impeccable. No issues at all with just 8 minutes.

Tues July 25th

Hiking st moritz

We went for a beautiful Alpine hike. Luckily, the hotel gave us a lift pass, so we got to cheat and go partway up the mountain using the ski lifts/trains. But we still got a solid hike in!

These pictures don’t need many words, but I will comment that we had to turn around before we got all the way up because a thunderstorm had started rolling in. We didn’t want to get stranded on a mountain ridge in a thunderstorm, so we ran down as fast as possible!

It’s hard to capture just how many wildflowers there were. Flowers of all colors, EVERYWHERE. At least, until we got into the super-rocky part.

Dinner

We ended the day with a well-deserved “junk food” dinner. It was delicious!
